Assist in Self Discovery

There's an old saying that goes, "those convinced against their will, are of the same opinion still."

While I do help my clients learn new skills to develop a stronger mindset, the most important thing I do as a mentor is help them make their own realizations.

When we are developing and growing, our mind already knows the things we need to do in order to grow and prosper, but it will hide those things from us. Our reticular activation system (RAS) does this as a way to protect us from getting hurt. Let's face it, growth is painful.

As a mentor I help you work with your RAS to retrieve the information you need to move into the next level.

Develop New Skills

The foundation of my mentoring sessions started with what I learned from Kirk Duncan through the Coach Fast Track Program. In it, I learned not only how I can help others get more information from their subconscious and RAS, but I also learned how to teach them to develop those skills for their own self-discovery and improvement.

In our growth, we have to learn to overcome the 5 deficiencies (see image on the left).

To help people rewire their brains in order to overcome these deficiencies, I work with them on building daily exercises and practices that help them to learn, grow, and overcome obstacles. In your first appointment, I focus on helping you more deeply know and understand your goal.

Accountability

When I am your mentor, I also double as your accountability partner. That does not mean that it is my job to accomplish your goals, that's still on you. But as your accountability partner, I will check in on you. I will follow up with you to make sure you are progressing.

When you ask someone to be your accountability partner, your likelihood for success increases a bit. When you hire an accountability partner, and you have financial skin in the game, your likelihood increases more dramatically. That financial commitment tell your subconscious that this is important. It can be painful letting go of that money, and you don't want that pain to be in vain. So you work that much harder to get it back and get your money's worth out of it. There are some people who are exceptions to this, but you're not of them, are you?
